UHL X-Checks Colon Cancer

Thank you to everyone who bid on Molly’s game-worn jerseys!  We were able to raise nearly $4000 for The Colon Club, which will all go into other awareness raising projects!


The UHL Cross-Checks Colon Cancer project was a raging success!  Molly McMaster took the ice 14 times throughout March 2006 with every team in the United Hockey League, starting with the Adirondack Frostbite on February 26th, 2006.

Molly’s participation with the United Hockey League was all part of The Colon Club’s partnership with the UHL to bring colorectal cancer awareness to the UHL during March, which is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Molly McMaster appeared on ESPN2’s Cold Pizza on March 23rd to promote the UHL Cross-Checks Colon Cancer! Click to see the video:

Other activities at UHL games in March included:
- educational announcements
- promotional and educational handouts
- UHL players wore blue star patches (universal symbol for colorectal cancer) on their home jerseys 
- Fleet Laboratories’s mascot, EneManTM, made special appearances
- The Colon Club handed out limited edition Molly McMaster trading cards
